«Dialog of cultures» – non-profit-making project, which has its traditions and audience. The main idea of «The Dialog» is to create a free space for a discussion about important issues. Besides, we combine cultural and educational activities and aim at close cooperation between participants from different countries and audience. «The Dialog» is considered to be a festival and doesn’t imply competition.

The main topic of «The Dialog» 2010: Future, what will it look like? What future do we want? Person, society, city – development in the right and NOT right direction.

This is a chance for creative people and groups to develop their views and the concepts of the future; to build alternatives and to introduce new models.

Possible issues:
- The future of the city (social aspect of the city, city development, the city influence upon the people and vice versa etc.).
- Utopia & alternative (models of the future society, the future that we want, our PRESEN DAYS actions to make this future real, transformations of the political culture etc.).
- Free space for culture (space for culture & cultural space, self-directed cultural space, from creating art objects to creating the space for art etc.).

Forms of the projects: seminar, art performances, exhibitions, cinema projects, theatre projects, work-shop, presentations, research, etc.

Painters and activists from Russia, Germany Norway and other countries are planning to take part in «Dialog of Cultures» 2010.

Selection criteria for participants

• Logical сconnection between your project and the issues of «The Dialog».
• Creative decisions, new approach to the issues.
• Urgency and readership of your project for international audience.

Conditions of participation

• Organizers pay for dwelling, meal, expenditures for equipment and materials for your projects.
• Participants pay for travel (in some cases, there is a partial pay system for participants)
