The meeting of the regional coordinators of the All-Russian Program "Informational and awareness-raising campaign "Youth and the Army" will take place in the middle of May in Moscow. The program is implemented in 10 regions of Russia.

The main topics of the meeting will be: discussing the current situation in the Russian army; youth attitudes to it and the strategy of public actions; developing basic campaign's tools (questionnaire, awareness-raising materials, ideas for slogans and symbols of the campaign), detailed planning of the campaign's stages, including regional activities.

The goals of the Program are:
1. Initiating public discussion on such a state institute as the army among young people;
2. Assisting to reforming the armed forces of the Russian Federation in compliance with the principles of Human Rights and international standards;
3. promoting the Alternative Civil Service.

The following actions will be carried out in the framework of the campaign: mass awareness-raising survey, distribution of the informational, enlightenment and problem materials concerning the situation in Russian army, public enlightenment arrangements for youth.
