During the meeting of human rights defenders from the “Pamfilova’s Council” with President Medvedev, which took place on April 15th, many issues were discussed starting with independency of courts and up to beatings of human rights defenders. Concrete names were voiced as well. Thus, according to Radio Liberty, journalist Svetlana Sorokina asked the president about the fate of the Yukos ex-barrister Svetlana Bakhmina, and leader of the “Regional Journalism Club” Irina Yasina – about the “New Times” magazine correspondent Natalia Morar, who was banned to enter Russia. However, the president did not answer those questions about concrete people.
