all advertisements ÍÎÂÎÑÒÈ:In the beginning of November the Youth Human Rights Movement received official notification that from January 2009 onwards it will enjoy participatory status with the Council of Europe. Such a decision was taken by the NGO Unit of the organization after reviewing the application submitted by the Movement in April 2008. |
On 4 December, following a decision passed by the City Prosecutor, a search was undertaken of the research and information centre "Memorial" in St. Petersburg, the organization researching the history of the Stalinist Terror . The search was carried out under the pretext of an investigation into the case of what the Prosecutor asserts was an "extremist" publication a year and a half ago in a newspaper called "New Petersburg". |
International initiative «Georgian-Russian civil dialogue» is proud to announce an Essay Competition, oriented towards perception of the conflict in South Ossetia, search for ways of overcoming the conflict’s consequences and evolution of peace in the region. |
