On April 5, 2010, a second hearing on “reconsideration” of Mikhailau’s case has taken place.

Within the course of the hearing, witnesses Glebovich (Military commissioner of Minsk region) and Zenkovich (acting Head of the Evangelic Christian Church “New Testament”) took a statement.

It became obvious from Colonel Glebovich’s words that the decision-making system within the enlistment commission is non-transparent and subjective. Thus, actually, it followed from Glebovich’s words that the decision to assign Ivan Mikhailau to military service was made due to the opinion of the Chair of this commission, while written appeals of the recruiter were not subjoined to the case of Mikhailau, and directives of the Ministry of Defense were ignored.

We considered that the judgment on Mikhailau’s case would be delivered on April 5. However, due to the fact that Military commissariat did not grant a range of documents requested by the court, another break was announced in the consideration of the case until 10 AM on April 9, 2010.
