The “Book of good deeds”will be publiched in Trans-Istria |

Seminar named as “Youth participation” took part at 10-11th of November 2007 collecting leaders of youth organizations, groups and local councils of youth from Trans- Istria region. It was conducted in the frames of the 4-months’ project “The Book of good deeds” realized with the support of Small Grants Program of Gazprombank. Participants drafted the concept of The Book, which will be published at the end of December. Trans-Istria youth groups will be able to put their information in this publication. It is also planned by NGO “Stels-Tera” to review activities of 7 Trans-Istria youth organizations who have won Gazprombank grants in 2006. The purposes of this Book is to influence youth informational isolation and to overcome young people’ passiveness and produce the interest for social work. Currently, the information is being compiled, and the publication will be realized at the ned of december. All youth groups from Trans-Istria, willing to put their info in the book, can contact NGO “Stels-Tera” at stels_tera@yahoo.com. |

Bologna University announce opening of winter course “The European Convention of Human Rights: mechanism of protection and rights of migrants”, which will take place in January 2011.
The course aims to focus on two topics:
1. the functioning mechanism of the European Convention of Human Rights (submission of an application, conditions of admissibility, Court’s evaluation, judgments’ effects, surveillance mechanism on judgments’ implementation)
2.
The Program is designed for lawyers, journalists, doctors, teachers, social workers, community organizers, and other human rights activists working with NGOs on issues including sexual and gender-based violence, domestic violence, minority rights, LGBT rights, labor rights, migration, health, social exclusion, environmental justice, and corporate social accountability.
The Reagan-Fascell Democracy Fellows Program at the Washington, D.C.-based National Endowment for Democracy invites applications for fellowships in 2011-2012. The program enables democracy activists, practitioners, scholars, and journalists from around the world to deepen their understanding of democracy and enhance their ability to promote democratic change.
