Our colleague human rights defender Tamara Korasteleva (we wrote about her situation in April), feels better. But she still needs help. Tamara was one of the leaders of the Novorossiysk Human Rights Committee (NHRC).

Tamara took the first course of chemotherapy and she feels better, now she can get out of bed. Urgently a the second course of chemotherapy is needed, which can cost about $ 5000.

Karastelev's family tells thanks all people who help them in this difficult period for their family.

We should remind that in april Tamara Karasteleva was the hospital in Tbilisi, Georgia, with acute leukemia. She was under chemotherapy and can barely talk.

Novorossiysk Human Rights Committee has experienced numerous cases of harassment on behalf of the authorities of Krasnodar region. Slightly more than a month ago Tamara’s husband and human rights activist Vadim Karastelev was attacked, which lead to hospitalization. Later, due to continuous threats caused by NCHR’s human rights activities and unsafety, Vadim was transported to Moscow.
